THEO
My name is Theodore, better known for my killer good looks and floppy ears. I left the shelter less than a month ago, and I am doing fantastic. I go to the beach almost every weekend and every day I am meeting someone new and learning new things. I love walking, playing with tennis balls and I love to play with sticks... Although I wasn't formally house trained I am proud to say that I have never had any mishaps. Learning is a breeze. I pick up what they teach me in mere seconds - Yes I am smart, I know! I love hanging out between the rooms and chilling on the futon - it is my special spot!!! Not to mention, I love my friend, Zeus who lives next door.. Rottweilers are so much fun!!! We bonded on the first day. I love my new family and they love me a whole lot - I can tell by the patience and dedication they provide in helping me become a better dog. I can now go from being a potential to a star :) They are very proud of me and all the progress I have made... I can tell, I am part of their family. |

JORDAN
It is me Jordan! I am attaching some pictures of myself in my new home. I miss all of you but I really like it here. As you can tell by the pictures I really like the guy that took me home His legs are very comfortable. I know that my name is Jordan but they have nicked name me Borris. I think it is because this other cat that lives here is named Natasha. Maybe they think I am Russian. I have been exploring my new house and have found all of the good spots – under the bed, the window seal, the tub, the closet and my favorite spot the kitchen sink. I am eating well, they have treats here and everything. Anyway I just wanted to say HI and thank you all for taking such good care of me and for taking the time to find me my new home. Please tell all of my friends that I said HELLO Love always, Jordan and new parents Paul and Melissa……We just love her :) |

ZIGGY My name is Ziggy formally known as Charlie. Since I was adopted in June, I have quickly adopted my new home and friends in the neighborhood. I have a HUGE yard to play in and I have frequent trips to the dog park to play with my friends and swim in the bay. My new owners love having a dog in the house again, everyday we walk to the school yard and I get to sniff and explore and I start training with my owner on monday! |

JAKE I adopted my dog "Jake" from Freeport in 2005. He came in with a litter of about 5 puppies. Someone local brought them in. I was volunteering for a short period of time back then and came across Jake in this litter. I bent over and looked down and locked eyes with him. I never picked up any puppy except for Jake. I came back the next day and once again picked him up and took him outside into the back and played with him. That was it. I called my husband and told him we were extending our family. I already had a few house cats and a Cairn Terrier that was 10 at the time. A true large lap dog who has never growled, nipped or hurt anyone! Thanks Freeport.... |

DEXTER Hi, my name is Dexter. The people at the shelter used to call me Elvis. I was adopted on Aug. 16th, 2008. Some of my favorite things to do are going to the state forest to run free and jump in all the water I can find. I also love to hang around with my people and relaxing on the couch with my sister Bridget. Did I mention she is a Chihuahua? People say we look funny together but we love each other. They also tell me I am the ambassador of my breed and the sweetest dog they ever met. Since I moved in with my new family, I have met a lot of new friends and apparently, I have a fan club. Everybody knows my name here. Being in the newspaper was the start of my fame. Luckily, I have changed many people's opinion about Pit Bulls and it didn't take long. I wanted to thank everyone at the shelter especially Lea and Matt for helping me find my new home. My family also said thank you to everyone for bringing them their best friend. |
